Carla is a Vistage Chair, company advisor, board director, franchise owner, and business consultant. She brings more than 20 years of experience in high-tech and supply chain management, and has helped build a number of highly-successful technology companies. She has succeeded in start-up environments, turn around scenarios and M&A integrations for both public and private companies by building plans, teams, campaigns, processes, from beginning to on-going concern. Pre-revenue to ~$50 Million in ARR.

Carla has experience in many technology markets: Healthcare, Automation, SAAS Platforms for Supply Chain and Healthcare, Enterprise infrastructure & applications, EAI, corporate portals, knowledge management, content management, search technology, XML infrastructure technology, security/user management, wireless/mobile apps, networking, groupware, personal productivity applications.

She served for a decade as CEO of Talyst, a Kirkland, WA based Pharmacy Automation company successfully exited to strategic acquirer Swisslog in 2017.  In 2015, Talyst spun off Verity Solutions Group, a market leading SAAS platform for drug purchasing optimization for health systems and contract pharmacies.  

​

Prior to Talyst, she served as COO at Vykor, Inc., an Aerospace supply chain management company. Before moving to the Northwest, Carla was the founder and president of ISOGEN International, and served in various executive roles in other high tech companies.

​

She is active in a number of charitable organizations, and serves on the Board of Girl Scouts of Western Washington. Corkern is a staunch advocate of women seeking technology careers and was named one of the 100 Top Women in Seattle Tech. Corkern was also a 2009 honoree for the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Women of Influence.

Corkern holds a B.S. in technical communication from Louisiana Tech University and conducted graduate work at Southern Methodist University.

Carla’s alter ego is as a Mom to 2 “almost grown” kids – a 19 year old son (Cosmo) a student at University of Washington and a 24 year old daughter (Chandler) who is a CAD technician. Carla is the grateful wife of more than 30 years to her college sweetheart (Caleb). Carla can be found hiking with the Mountaineers during the clear trail months and curled up by the fire reading anything and everything during the rest of the year.
